Other Texas Dance Hall Programs

Texas Dance Hall Preservation offers programs that help to promote Texas dance halls and support halls’ capacity to serve and strengthen their communities. Some of those programs include:

Dance Hall Photo Exhibit

TDHP developed a traveling photo exhibit in 2018 that has been displayed at libraries, cultural heritage centers, Texas airports, and the Texas state capitol. Special thanks to Ranch Connection LLC, the Sales Family of Duncan Springs Farms, and Irving Arts Center, whose generosity made this exhibit possible.

Photographers who provided images for the exhibit include Deborah Fleming, Gary E. McKee, Dave Norris Photography, and Wendy Schutt; Lee and Judi Temple, owners of Kendalia Halle, contributed a photograph by Jennie Trower.

Photographs from the display can be viewed here .

Hardwood. Heritage. Heart.
