Last week for online registration! If you love Texas history and want to learn how you can be more involved in saving it, come with us to the Real Places 2020 conference, January 29–31 in Austin! You can visit TDHP in the Preservation Partners expo on Wednesday, January 29, from 2:00-5:30 p.m. and we will be around the conference on Thursday, too.

Real Places is the Texas Historical Commission’s historic preservation and heritage tourism conference that celebrates the people, sites, and stories of the Lone Star State. The 2020 conference will include several workshops, 30+ sessions, and 70+ speakers from across the country. A featured keynote speaker is author Stephen Harrigan, who will discuss Big Wonderful Thing, his new, nearly 1,000-page tour-de-force history of Texas. Online registration closes on January 21, although onsite registration will be available at the conference.
