El Maton National Hall

El Maton National Hall is a Privately owned Dance Hall. Built as a school house in 1919. Sold to the SPJST organization in 1941 where it was named a National hall. Then sold to a private individual and expanded in 1981. My name is Eric Kacer and I purchased the Hall in 2021. I am the 3rd private owner since 1981. The hall currently opens every Sunday for live music. Other events like weddings, birthdays, Public dances, Fundraisers, Prom and other school events are held here every year. The Goal for the El Maton National Hall is to preserve the local history and keep the doors open for future generations to experience the magic of a true Texas Dancehall.
